Women
are very vulnerable to being targeted by objects of crime. Based on
international data released, India is the most insecure country for
women. The average daily report is almost always a crime against
women in India. In fact, there are some cases that are quite rare,
namely, among them the perpetrators come from the families of the
victims themselves. These cases invite input and opinions from social
experts regarding the wrong structure of Indian society.

Although
in India it strictly applies laws that ensnare the perpetrators of
criminal acts, but the application of the sentence is considered not
to make the perpetrators turn out or deter. Some opinions from social
experts conclude that there are stereotypes that occur in society
that lead to increased crime in women. Even though India's social
construction adheres to patriots where the position of men is valued
higher than women.
The
government has actually implemented several efforts and prevention of
criminal acts such as socialization of women's empowerment,
prioritizing the needs of women in public places and others. However,
there are still some individuals who violate these regulations.
Because
the patriarchal social system has been hereditary for a long time in
India, it is inevitable that women must obey all social rules which
tend to lead to gender discrimination. In addition, the system also
directs women to always be obedient and afraid of men. That way if
there is a woman who fights, still people consider the resistance
should not be done by women who have been judged to have a gentle and
obedient character.
